Improvements and future developments are possible
By controlling the detection coil by the Smartphone, it is possible to display the relief of the object in 3D, and no longer in 2D, and to identify the nature of the metal, the relief of the object as well as its depth.
It is also possible to use artificial intelligence to compare a reconstructed image to a database, of reconstituted images associated with photos of objects. This database could be local or / and community via a website. Thus, the application could become an assistant to the prospector by helping him to easily identify the targets and also by avoiding him to dig for an unattractive or dangerous target.
The use of augmented reality could also improve the reconstructed form.
Presentation of Mr. PAING and genesis of his innovative device
He acquired his first metal detector at the age of 16. Passionate about detection, he regularly conducts research on his Normandy land, marked by the bombings of 1944.This is how he allows the detection of the skeleton of a German soldier thanks to his helmet as well as the detection of ammunition unexploded (grenades, shells, bombs) for which he called on the deminers of civil protection.
Mr. PAING, originally from La Manche, is an experienced engineer in industrial IT, electronics and automation.
Because it was necessary to move a lot of earth to unearth vestiges from bombs craters, the need to identify the nature of the objects located with a metal detector quickly became essential. This is to be able to visualize the shape of the buried objects to identify them and thus avoid useless and more careful digging in front of an explosive object.
At almost 40, rich in his experience as a prospector and his professional expertise in IT and electronics, Mr. PAING devoted himself over several years to the research and development of a solution making it possible to visualize and identify with precision the nature of a metallic object.
